These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the SipNStir mobile application, related services, community features, support tools, and any associated content we provide (collectively, the "Service").

By downloading, accessing, creating an account for, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

SipNStir is intended only for people who are of legal drinking age in the place where they use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that:

- you are of legal drinking age in your jurisdiction;
- you can legally enter into these Terms; and
- you will comply with all applicable laws and regulations.

The Service is not intended for children.

2. Accounts and Access

Certain features require an account. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your account information reasonably current.

You are responsible for:

- maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials;
- all activity that occurs under your account;
- notifying us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.

We may support login, password reset, and account recovery through third-party authentication infrastructure, including Firebase Authentication.

3. The Nature of the Service

SipNStir is a cocktail discovery and recipe-sharing app. The Service may include:

- cocktail recipes, ingredient lists, instructions, and images;
- search, favorites, and My Bar features;
- community recipe creation and publication;
- profile, avatar, and account customization features;
- paid subscription features;
- advertising and sponsorship placements in certain versions of the app.

The Service is provided for informational, entertainment, and lifestyle purposes. SipNStir does not provide medical, nutrition, legal, or professional safety advice.

4. Alcohol and Safety Disclaimer

You are responsible for your own actions and choices when using the Service. By using SipNStir, you agree that:

- you will drink responsibly;
- you will not use the Service in connection with unlawful, dangerous, or irresponsible conduct;
- you are solely responsible for checking ingredients, allergies, sensitivities, proof/ABV, and safe preparation methods;
- SipNStir is not responsible for injury, loss, illness, property damage, or other harm arising out of alcohol consumption, recipe use, ingredient substitution, or misuse of the Service.

Recipe content may not be accurate, complete, safe, or suitable for every person or situation.

5. User-Generated Content

The Service may allow you to create, upload, save, publish, or otherwise submit content, including:

- cocktail names and recipe titles;
- ingredient lists, garnish designations, measurements, and instructions;
- recipe photos;
- profile names, avatars, and related account content;
- support or moderation submissions.

You are solely responsible for the content you submit.

You represent and warrant that:

- you own the content you submit or have all rights needed to submit it;
- your submissions do not violate any law or any third party's rights, including copyright, privacy, publicity, or trademark rights;
- any photos you upload are original to you or used with permission;
- your content is accurate to the extent you present it as factual;
- your content does not contain malware, spam, deceptive material, or prohibited content.

6. License You Grant to SipNStir

If you submit content to the Service, you grant SipNStir a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable, sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, adapt, format, publish, display, distribute, and otherwise use that content as needed to operate, improve, promote, moderate, and provide the Service.

This license applies only to the content you submit and exists for as long as needed for the purposes above, subject to applicable law and our retention practices.

7. Community Rules and Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

- post or upload unlawful, infringing, defamatory, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, violent, or otherwise objectionable content;
- impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity;
- submit false reports or abuse support or moderation systems;
- attempt to scrape, reverse engineer, interfere with, or disrupt the Service;
- use bots, automation, or exploitative methods to manipulate rankings, favorites, or engagement;
- upload content that violates another person's intellectual property or privacy rights;
- use the Service to promote dangerous alcohol use or illegal activity.

We may remove content, limit visibility, block content, block accounts, or suspend or terminate access if we believe a user or submission violates these Terms, our community standards, or the safety of the Service.

The app may also allow users to report cocktails and block other users. Blocking is a user-side visibility control and does not guarantee complete removal of another user's existence from all systems or records.

8. Moderation, Reports, and Support

If you submit a support request, bug report, or moderation report, you agree that we may review the submission and any related account, recipe, or activity data reasonably necessary to investigate and respond.

Moderation and enforcement decisions are made at our discretion. We are not obligated to act on every report in a particular way or within a specific timeframe.

9. Subscriptions, Billing, and Paid Features

SipNStir may offer paid subscriptions or premium access tiers, including recurring monthly or annual plans where available.

If you purchase a subscription through Apple App Store or Google Play:

- billing, renewal, cancellation, and refund handling are generally managed by the platform provider;
- your subscription may renew automatically unless canceled under the platform's rules;
- you are responsible for reviewing the platform's billing terms before purchasing;
- we do not store your full payment card details when purchases are processed by the app store provider.

We may use a subscription platform such as RevenueCat to manage entitlement state, subscription status, and restoration logic across the Service.

We may change subscription pricing, packaging, naming, benefits, trial availability, or feature access at any time to the extent allowed by law and the applicable app store rules.

10. Advertising and Sponsorships

Certain versions of the Service may include advertisements, promoted placements, or sponsorship content. By using the free tier of the Service, you acknowledge that the app may display such content.

Advertising behavior may vary by platform, region, available consent state, and device settings. We are not responsible for products, claims, or services offered by third-party advertisers or sponsors.

11. Third-Party Services and Content

The Service may rely on or include third-party services and content, including:

- Firebase Authentication, Firestore, Cloud Functions, and Cloud Storage;
- RevenueCat;
- Apple App Store and Google Play billing systems;
- Google AdMob;
- TheCocktailDB or mirrored content derived from that source;
- third-party email or support infrastructure.

Third-party services operate under their own terms and privacy policies. SipNStir is not responsible for the acts, omissions, availability, security, content, or policies of third parties that we do not control.

12. Intellectual Property

As between you and SipNStir, the Service itself, including the app, branding, logos, user interface, design, compilation, software, and our original content, is owned by SipNStir or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

These Terms do not transfer ownership of the Service or any SipNStir intellectual property to you. Except as expressly allowed by these Terms, you may not copy, modify, distribute, publicly display, sell, license, or create derivative works from the Service.

13. Availability, Updates, and Changes

We may update, modify, suspend, restrict, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice. This includes changes to:

- features and functionality;
- recipe sources and content availability;
- subscription plans or monetization;
- eligibility requirements;
- device or platform support.

We are not liable if any part of the Service becomes unavailable, changed, or discontinued.

14. Account Deletion and Content Persistence

The Service offers in-app account deletion.

When you delete your account, current backend behavior generally removes:

- your user account record;
- your username lookup record;
- your favorites;
- certain report records associated with your account;
- your stored avatar file.

At this time, published community recipes and certain custom ingredients may remain available in the Service after account deletion unless separately removed, moderated, or deleted. If you do not want published community content to remain available, you should remove that content before deleting your account where possible or contact support.

15. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

SipNStir disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, reliability, and availability.

We do not guarantee that:

- the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure;
- recipes, images, or community content will be accurate or suitable;
- defects will always be corrected;
- the Service will meet your expectations or requirements.

16. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SipNStir and its owners, affiliates, service providers, licensors, and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, business opportunity, or other intangible losses arising out of or related to:

- your use of or inability to use the Service;
- alcohol consumption or conduct related to recipes or ingredients;
- user-generated content;
- third-party services, billing systems, advertisements, or linked services;
- unauthorized access, service interruptions, data loss, or content removal.

If applicable law does not allow certain limitations, some of the above limitations may not apply to you.

17. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless SipNStir and its owners, affiliates, service providers, and licensors from and against claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, losses, costs, and expenses arising out of or related to:

- your use of the Service;
- your content;
- your violation of these Terms;
- your violation of any law or third-party right.

18. Termination

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe:

- you violated these Terms;
- your use creates legal, security, or operational risk;
- required third-party services or platforms no longer support your access;
- continued access is not appropriate for safety or business reasons.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including sections relating to licenses, disclaimers, limitations of liability, intellectual property, disputes about past conduct, and retained content.

19. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make changes, we may revise the effective date, update the in-app Terms, or provide additional notice where appropriate.

Your continued use of the Service after updated Terms become effective means you accept the revised Terms.
